Guide to toll charges

Article updated on 04/22/2024

The driver must cover the costs of toll passes during the rental. But as the owner of the car, you will receive the bill for these and are responsible for collecting the money afterwards.

You can collect tolls in two different ways through Getaround.

Please note: Tolls older than 60 days will not be imported.

Claim money for a single rental

Go to Your rentals and select the rental, you can collect the amount of tolls from the driver up to 500kr. You must be able to document that this amount is correct.

You will receive the full amount along with your next payout.

Please note: The function for tolls must only be used to charge the driver for tolls. Other fees or charges must be sent in via the correct channels, and if we discover that the amount for the tolls are incorrect we will reverse the compensation.

Claim money for several rentals at the same time

If you use Fremtind or Flyt as a toll provider you can download one CSV-file for all the journeys made in the last month. The CSV function is set up so that the system automatically calculates which amounts belong to the different rentals. A CSV file (i.e. for March) will therefore automatically get charged to the different rentals completed on the platform for the corresponding period.

Log in to the issuing company where you have your AutoPASS agreement and use the export function on My page.

Go to Your rentals and click on upload tolls. You will be prompted to upload a csv file with passes for your car.

  • The file has to be unedited in order to be accepted by our system.
  • It does not matter if you upload a file that overlaps with a file that was previously uploaded.
  • Toll passes older than 60 days will not be imported.

You will receive the full amount along with your next payout.
