Forgotten Items

If you happen to have forgotten something in the car, you will need to contact the owner directly to find the best solution to retrieve your forgotten items.

For Connect rentals

You will be able to re-open the car 10 minutes after completing the check-out. That way you can retrieve your lost items before locking the car again. To do this, just go to the rental page, and you will have a button "Unlock again" allowing you to open the doors again.

If you no longer have the option on the rental page, this means you will need to contact the owner directly to arrange for the collection of your forgotten items as there is no way for us to access the car.

We're here to help as much as we can, but we cannot guarantee that your item will still be present in the car when you go to check for it. Getaround cars are shared cars, used often by many different people, and neither Getaround nor the host is responsible for lost items left in the car.
